CARRP – Citizens Against Religious Recruitment Practices

This project was launched on Monday, November, 13th, 2023 at 11:38 PM CST, after spending hellacious time with yick yack back and forth text conversation on the phone with my brother about his love for God and how I need to read about and accept Jesus as my savior lol. I laugh because as someone of my age, I have had to suffer these types of attacks time after time after time, and I find it ridiculous that Christians do not have respect in the way that they continue on and on with what I call “the script”. It’s like they have a guidebook on how to convert someone to Christianity, and once they start their routine, it’s difficult to make them stop preaching to you.

As a man in my 50’s when I started this project, I wouldn’t exactly claim atheism, but I personally do not publicly participate in any religious practice of any denomination where I am expected to prove “faith” to an alleged god to a human being. I don’t need, nor do I want someone telling me their interpretations of any religious text. I can make my own interpretations in my privacy if I choose to do so, and I loath discussion of it in my personal life. Religious people in my opinion are insanely crazy, and I don’t want any part of that. I don’t believe in being told who or how to be. I also don’t believe in doing that to others based on religion. I have had enough of the recruiters. I think many of us on this planet has.

My mother once wrote “Be somebody” in a bible, I have since sent to the landfill in Lee County, Alabama, she gave me before running off to the U.S. Army because she and her husband demanded that, and would not stop forcing it on me (some of that good old parental narcissistic and Christian manipulation and control). Well, from a note to a friend I sent on Facebook – “I was just trying to make a Facebook page for this thing (project – CARRP), and it wants a category for what type of page it is. The things I can find that fit, are Religious organization, or Religious Center LOL. I guess I’ll choose those, and possibly magazine. I never in my life thought I would become “deacon” of a “religious” organization… for real WTF?! HAHA” – David Thrift, Owner and editor at CARRPHQ.com, the online brochure and guide for the religious and non-religious alike for respecting each others status regarding religion. – Wednesday, November 16th, 2023 at 11:36 PM CST.

I really hate that I was forced into creating this platform, but there are clear messages that need to be sent that religion really sucks and in my part of the world, Christians are at fault for it. I firmly believe right from wrong should be taught with religion left out of it. I have dealt with manipulation and controlling based on Christian beliefs since I was a child, and I am obviously fed up with it. I believe there are too many fake ass Christians out there who talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk, who spend their days harassing others for cool points from “Jesus”, and to hide their guilt about something. I also believe Christians need to learn what boundaries are, and respect others who are not interested in forced conversations about their religion and beliefs. Now the world has CARRP.

CARRP is a crusade in progress that stands AGAINST obnoxious religious harassment and bullying. You get one time to mention god or bible, and that’s it. Otherwise, you’re just an asshole! People are allowed to privately make their own decisions about heaven and hell on their own, whether you like it or not! And who started all this religious shit anyway?…
